PREVENT  REACTIVITY:

● It's very important that your doggo sits next to you when they meet new people on the leash, food rewards can be used.

● It's best to avoid corrective collars, its impacts your doggo by causing a negative association with other dogs.

● Do not or rather avoid using retractable leashes.

LEASH PRESSURE:

● Leash pressure can be applied to some extent in order to move your doggo in the desired direction, but remember to release the pressure once your doggo moves in the desired direction.

● Remember to apply very gentle pressure, ensure it doesn’t cause choking, etc.

FIGURE OF EIGHT:

● This helps your doggo to learn to change its pace while going in a figure 8 pattern, to do this start with your feet at least shoulder distance apart ( enough for your dog to fit in).

● Putting weight on one leg and luring your doggo under that leg can help.

● Repeat the same with wider distances with the help of cones or sacks.

FOLLOW ME:

● Place a handful of your doggo’s favorite treaties lose in your pocket and walk around, if your doggo follows you give him his treat else stand with your doggo and give him the “follow” command.

● Gradually avoid treaties.
